Description: This social skills group is a fun and motivating way to help children to develop basic Social Thinking, by teaching them not only how but why we engage in certain social behaviours, such as showing interest and participating in a conversation, behaving in a group, etc. It also includes components of the Alert Program for self-regulation and parent teaching time to promote generalization of skills at home.
Appropriate for: 4-7 years old with average or above average cognitive and language skills looking for self-regulation and social skills learning opportunities. Appropriate for a young people with a range of diagnoses, including high functioning Autism (ASD) or Asperger’s, ADHD, etc.
