Description: This 10 week printing camp will focus on teaching formation of the lowercase letters of the alphabet along with proper letter size and placement.
Using the Handwriting Without Tears Program, children will learn how to print the lowercase letters using a variety of fun, hands-on, multisensory activities.
Camp will include a fine motor warm up to build grasp and hand/finger strength and a gross motor warm up to build core strength. There will be a homework component consisting of 5-10 minutes/5 days a week.
Where: Canoe Therapy Burlington
Appropriate for: Children currently in grade 1 to grade 3. They should be able to identify at least 20 lowercase letters. This camp is fast paced and will have a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Children should be able to sit and attend for 60 minutes with minimal re-direction.
Registration Process: Children must be screened for this camp by attending a free15-minute screening session at Canoe Therapy. This will ensure your child is recommended the most appropriate treatment method based on their needs. Please call 905-633-9222 to set up the 15min screening.
