Emily completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at McGill University after graduating from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelors of Science majoring in Behavioural Neuroscience. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Emily has worked as an occupational therapist within both school and home healthcare settings, providing services to children aged 0-18. Emily has worked with children to help them achieve goals in areas impacting participation in everyday activities by addressing challenges with feeding, self-care, fine motor, written output, sensory processing, self-regulation, visual motor and visual perceptual skills.

Emily believes in a family-centred approach to occupational therapy, allowing children and their families to pursue goals that are meaningful to them. She welcomes family members to attend sessions in order to increase the child's chance of success in meeting those goals. In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with family, walking her dog, hiking and knitting.
