Jane completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at McGill University which she followed with a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 10 years and is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
Jane has many therapy interests including sensory integration, handwriting/fine motor skills, attention/organization and social skills. She has a broad range of clinical experience, including working with children with developmental delays, ADHD, ASD and FASD. Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and work in complex care coordination have helped Jane build a creative approach to therapy from a whole-child and family-centered perspective. "Prioritizing functional goals and empowering the child and family as central players in the therapeutic process are how I help facilitate positive change".
In addition to working at Canoe, Jane works at the KidsAbility Centre for Child Development in Cambridge. Outside of work though, she enjoys the imagination and laughter of her three little girls.
