Tamir has an Honours B.A in Psychology from York University, and obtained his graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Western Ontario. He is also registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologist of Ontario.
With the pediatric population, he is experienced in assessing and providing intervention in the following areas: expressive and receptive language, articulation difficulties, literacy development, stuttering, and working with children with special needs (such as Global Developmental Delay). He has worked with children of all ages, from pre-schoolers to school-age children and even adolescents.
He has specialized training in the Essential Pause Program, which is designed to help improve fluent speech. He is also trained and certified in Lidcombe Program for children who stutter.
He is committed to working with clients and their family in order to make therapy effective, meaningful and fun!
In his free-time, he enjoys being active, reading, spending time with family and friends, and learning foreign languages!
